Conservation at the Finca El Paraíso
In addition to hosting 15% of Colombia’s bird species, the Finca El Paraíso is home to a large number of threatened mammals and reptiles. Four of Colombia’s 28 endangered mammals can be found on our grounds, including the Giant Otter, of which only 5000 survive in the wild.
Three of Colombia’s 29 threatened reptiles can also be seen here. In protecting our natural heritage, we hope to conserve these species for coming generations.
